About Me

My name is Jen, and that is a picture of me living my best life in Hawaii.  This is, of course, after 2 months of being paralyzed from a tumor we found on my spine, which turned in to multiple tumors on my liver. I dont want to focus too much on that, but I was originally diagnosed with stage II breast cancer in 2013, which then progressed just short of my 5 year anniversary.

I have found passion in helping others though my non-profit Pink Warrior Angels Hill Country. It gives me so much purpose in knowing that the women who we help aren't fighting this battle alone.

I am married to a man who is my world. He has provided a life for me that I never knew was possible. He has loved me through every minute of every struggle I have had. I am confident I am the luckiest girl in the world to have him by my side every day. I am a stepmom to 2 amazing children.  Really, I am their mom and they are my children.  It has been the most challenging position I have ever held in life but has, by far, been the most rewarding. Knowing that I play such a huge roll in the future of these 2 great kids is an honor that I don’t take lightly.  Cancer became a battle for our entire family, not just me, and the kids were a great support for me through out my journey.

What I love more than anything is getting in my car, turning my music up really loud, and having my own personal jam session. I love a good night out with friends and any time I have the opportunity to bust a move…I’m in! I LOVE to travel.  When I recovered from back surgery,  and was able, I chose to live my absolute best life.  That doesn't always mean Im going all over the world exploring new places.  It could simply mean trying a new hobby, finding a new joy, experiencing ALL of the true AMAZINGNESS that this life has to offer.  I hope by joining me on this journey, you will find out how easy it is to enjoy the simple things in life.  I hope you live your life to the fullest, and make the best of every moment - big and small.

The hardest part of my journey was learning to love myself in the rawest form. I was stripped of all of the superficial “things” that made me feel pretty. My hair, my eyebrows, my eyelashes, and lastly my breasts were all taken from me. What I learned about myself through those losses, was something that no book, no person, and no doctor could ever teach me. I hope that, through my experiences, I can help other women embrace their beauty both inside and out. We only get this one life - lets make the best of it!
